Work Experience

Can you provide work experience placements to young people in the Borders?

Placement opportunities can vary from a block of one week, to a more flexible one day per week spread over a period of time.

Scottish Enterprise will contribute towards the cost of training young people aged between 16 and 24 up to a recognised vocational qualification at level 4, increasing skills levels and contributing towards higher productivity.

Work experience by pupils of secondary school age, plays a crucial role in helping young people understand the adult world of work and what employers expect. It increases their awareness of the career choices available in today’s economy and allows employers to promote their company to potential employees and customers.
